The challenge.
Have you ever hired a private chef or caterer for a special occasion? Of course, taste-testing delicious food is the best part of seeking out a culinary professional, but the convenience of browsing their food portfolio online comes in at a close second. Allow me to introduce you to Chef Shari Shobe, a private chef and caterer based in Metro Detroit. Her micro-influencer following on social media has transformed her chef business into a lifestyle brand. To give you an idea of her vibe, during the social listening phase of my research for this client, I immediately thought of Tabitha Brown. The challenge? Chef Shobe was determined to attract high-scale and celebrity clients. Her website and messaging needed a makeover to align with her exceptional culinary skills.
The solution.
Chef Shobe enlisted my expertise to enhance her brand and give her website a fresh look. I crafted copy that’s fine-tuned for local search engines, incorporated strategic keywords, crafted a cornerstone article, and designed engaging social media posts. In short, I built a delectable website that showcased her culinary creations and philanthropic endeavors, all while collecting client emails around-the-clock.
The tagline.
Her tagline is bold and simple while tapping into the main goal of the folks who end up on her virtual doorstep.
Tagline: Elevate your palate and your celebration.
The website.
Here’s her beautiful, bold and mobile-friendly website that incorporates strategic messaging and a cornerstone article about her annual charity.
Charity article.
I also wrote a PR article for website visitors to learn how they can donate to Chef Shobe’s Annual Spice Drive.
Social media
As part of her rebrand, I wrote a few organic social media posts for Instagram and Meta to compliment images and video captured by her photographer.
the press release.
Charity work deserves recognition! I played a part in helping Chef Shobe shine a light on her Annual Spice Drive with a press release that led to her being featured on a local news channel.
The brand archetype.
Chef Shobe is the Caregiver Brand Archetype. Her tone is warm, nurturing, and confident. When people visit her website, they feel this:
- Ready to eat.
- Supported and nurtured.
- Nostalgic.
